Events and Sponsorships Lead

Quidi Vidi Brewing Company Ltd.
Job Description

Job Summary
We’re proud to be Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest craft brewery. We’ve been brewing Newfoundland’s beer for 30 years, long before “craft beer” was a buzzword. From day one, we’ve led the way by experimenting, pushing boundaries, and taking inspiration from the place we call home. Rooted in community, our success has always come from connection - through the festivals, events, and local groups that make this province what it is.

Now we’re looking for someone to continue strengthening those connections, by amplifying our community presence, showcasing our proudly Newfoundland brand, and creating memorable experiences along the way.

The Role

This is a hands-on producer role - requiring someone who thrives on the organization, planning, logistics, and leadership it takes to to turn plans into reality. You’ll lead our presence at the province’s biggest events, strengthen our sponsorship relationships, and find new ways for Quidi Vidi Brewery to show up meaningfully in our communities.

You’ll have ownership over two key areas:

1. Events

From Folk Fest to the Regatta to the Brier - and plenty of smaller community events in between - you’ll own, plan, coordinate, and execute our presence from start to finish.

● Identify and vet event opportunities of all sizes that align with our brand and community goals
● Bring fresh energy to taproom-hosted events (hint: Halloween parties deserve a comeback)
● Build and lead event plans, budgets, timelines, and teams
● Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, taproom staff, and partners to deliver smooth, memorable activations - from beer tastings to celebrity dunk tanks
● Swap a weekday morning for a Saturday night when the event calls for it.
2. Sponsorships

Sponsorships are more than giving out free beer or putting our logo on a banner - they are about building real relationships. You’ll turn our partnerships into stories worth telling.

● Maintain and deepen relationships with existing partners by exploring creative ways to collaborate - from ambassador created content to community activations

● Vet new sponsorship requests to ensure the right fit, alignment, and value for both sides

● Keep your finger on the pulse of the local community to identify and initiate new sponsorship opportunities

You’ll Thrive Here If...

● You’re a master of organization - with strong project-management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to connect and lead vendors, venues, volunteers, suppliers, and internal teams.

● You’re a strategic thinker - setting goals, making decisions, and measuring success against clear objectives.

● You communicate clearly and build relationships easily - a people person at heart.

● You’re full of ideas and eager to collaborate with Marketing and Sales to promote events and capture great content along the way.

● You have a valid driver’s license and are comfortable traveling locally.

● You’re able to lift up to 16 kg (sometimes the job comes with a few kegs).

Ideally, You Also...

● Have event-management experience in beer, food, beverage, or hospitality.

● Understand (and enjoy) the world of beer.

● But more than anything, you’re an organizational wizard who can make things happen - whatever your background.
