General Assistant Cook:
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Assisting in the food preparation for day to day use in the restaurant;
- Preparing appetizers and desserts for serving in the restaurant;
- Washing and proper sanitizing of all pots, pans, dishes and utensils for the Steakhouse;
- Ensuring your workstation and Kitchen areas are clean and tidy at all times;
- Completing quality checks on all products before they are served to the public;
- Completing all duties assigned by your Supervisor in a clean, organized and efficient manner;
- Upholding hotel standards, and ensuring areas meet Occupational Health & Safety standards;
- Working in main kitchen when needed to help cover various types of leave and/or high business levels in that area.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Previous experience in similar work required;
- Strong communication skills required;
- Must be able to take and follow directions;
- WHMIS training an asset;
- Must show initiative;
- Must be a responsible, organized individual who can work with limited supervision;
- Must be honest, reliable and dependable;
- Must practice good hygiene;
- Must be able to perform regular, heavy lifting over stairs;
- Must be a team orientated individual with good interactive skills;
- Must demonstrate behavior consistent with core values.
