Tourism Information Officer

The City of St. John’s Economic Development, Culture and Partnership division is currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic individual to work in our Visitor Information Centre for our Summer Tourism Season. All are welcome to apply.
The Tourism Information Officer must be comfortable assisting staff with the selection of attractions, accommodations, events, etc. for visitors, and maintaining display shelves with up-to-date tourism brochures and information.
The successful applicant will be required to participate in all training programs applicable to this position and other related work. - Knowledge of the St. John’s tourism product
- Excellent communication skills
- Work with the public in a professional manner
- Work independently
- Conversational French considered an asset
- Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Record Screening Certificate – Dated 2023
Additional Qualifications (Provided free for successful candidates)
- Standard First Aid
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR level C)
Hours of Work
- June 27 – September 1, 2023
- Must be available to attend mandatory training June 13. Some training may be offered virtually, evenings and/or weekends
- Up to 40 hours per week
