Location: On-site / Remote
Job Type: Full-time, 1-Year Contract
Salary: $58,000 - $69,000 per year

About Us
Legendary Coasts of Eastern Newfoundland (LCEN) is one of five regional Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our mission is to promote tourism growth through marketing, destination development, and industry collaboration. We work closely with stakeholders including the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation (TCAR), Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), and regional tourism operators.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Manager of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon Tourism Partnership to strengthen tourism ties between Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon (SPM).

Responsibilities
As the Manager, your role will include:

Tourism Promotion & Marketing

  • Build awareness of SPM across NL and Canadian marketing platforms.
  • Coordinate webinars, familiarization trips, and information sessions for NL and SPM tourism operators, travel media, and trade partners.
  • Oversee travel trade and travel media relations to reach target markets in alignment with NL Tourism.
  • Attend consumer travel shows, media events, and trade conferences to promote SPM.

Visitor Information Services

  • Oversee the seasonal SPM visitor information center in Fortune, NL, including hiring and training staff.
  • Provide resources and training for visitor information teams in NL and SPM.

Industry Collaboration

  • Foster relationships between SPM and NL tourism operators and industry stakeholders to create new products and experiences and drive visitation.
  • Organize sessions and events that strengthen ties and align tourism efforts in both regions.
  • Act as an amabassador for SPM in the NL and Canadian tourism industry.

Government Relations

  • Act as a liaison between NL and SPM governments.
  • Support translation and communications for intergovernmental meetings and media requests.

Communications

  • Provide and regularly review SPM content across NL and SPM Tourism’s print and digital marketing channels.
  • Develop and implement campaigns that align with NL Tourism.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English and French with strong writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Work Environment

  • Combination of office, remote, and travel-based work.
  • Candidate must reside in Eastern Newfoundland (Bonavista, Burin, Avalon Peninsulas).
