Barista/Customer Service
As a Jumping Bean Coffee barista, you are a frontline ambassador for our products and brand. Baristas should strive to provide exceptional customer service, and be able to create top notch beverages and food menu items following the Jumping Bean Coffee guidelines.

Primary Duties are:

  • Provide a variety of hand-crafted coffee, tea, and food menu items, following the JBC recipes and build procedures
  • Provide outstanding customer service, and be able to suggest/assist in the selection of beverage/food/coffee/tea/retail purchases/products.
  • Work as a part of a team of exceptional employees to ensure a successful café environment that is inviting and efficient.

Performance Goals:

  • Work with your café team to achieve daily goals set by your café manager and/or café lead to ensure success of your café.
  • Listen to customer queries and interactions to problem solve/create new menu items/experiences in the café to increase traffic and customer numbers.

Qualifications are:

  • Be customer service focused
  • Willing to work in a fast paced environment
  • Available and flexible to work weekdays, weekends, evenings.
  • Previous food service experience preferred

This job requires long hours on your feet (8 hours maximum). Shifts are scheduled for any time between 6:30am and 6:30pm Mon-Fri, 8:30am and 5:30pm on weekends.

The café environment contains coffee brewers, espresso machines, food heating equipment, and the like and as such can be very warm workplace.

Café supplies can be heavy (crates of milk, equipment, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.20-$16.00 per hour
