Job Description
General Assistant Cook:
  • Assisting in the food preparation for day to day use in the restaurant;
  • Preparing appetizers and desserts for serving in the restaurant;
  • Washing and proper sanitizing of all pots, pans, dishes and utensils for the Steakhouse;
  • Ensuring your workstation and  Kitchen areas are clean and tidy at all times;
  • Completing quality checks on all products before they are served to the public;
  • Completing all duties assigned by your Supervisor in a clean, organized and efficient manner;
  • Upholding hotel standards, and ensuring areas meet Occupational Health & Safety standards;
  • Working in main kitchen when needed to help cover various types of leave and/or high business levels in that area.
  • Previous experience in similar work required;
  • Strong communication skills required;
  • Must be able to take and follow directions;
  • WHMIS training an asset;
  • Must show initiative;
  • Must be a responsible, organized individual who can work with limited supervision;
  • Must be honest, reliable and dependable;
  • Must practice good hygiene;
  • Must be able to perform regular, heavy lifting over stairs;
  • Must be a team orientated individual with good interactive skills;
  • Must demonstrate behavior consistent with core values.
