Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:                                 
  • Handling of arrivals and departures;
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Balancing your end of shift accurately and timely
  • Other ends of day procedures
  • Full understanding of the operation in order to answer guest questions
  • Ensuring all guest room rates are correct and balanced
  • Daily Corporate reporting when working N/A shift
  • Balancing the day’s business for all areas of the hotel accurately and timely when working    N/A Shift
  • Making reservations and upselling all hotel products
  • Group reservations and rooming list entry into PMS
  • Full knowledge of rates, room types, and data entry in PMS
  • Responding to all guest inquires
  • Full knowledge of Skytouch and balancing of revenues and payouts
  • PBX duties
  • Cash handling duties
  • Daily Cash Deposits
  • Basic record-keeping in Word and Excel documents
  • Full knowledge and understanding of emergency procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • knowledge of computerized systems    
  • Knowledge of  PMS systems and procedures is an asset;
  • Knowledge of  Excel as an asset;
  • Previous experience as Guest Service Agent/NA in the Front Desk area, is an asset.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Must be a responsible, organized individual who can work with minimum supervision and display confidence in dealing with stressful situations;
  • Must be honest, reliable, and dependable;
  • Must demonstrate behavior consistent with core values;
  • Must be a team-orientated individual with good interactive skills.
