Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated host/hostess to join our team. As a host, you will play a vital role in being the first point of contact for all guests entering the restaurant. You will be providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly, welcoming manner upon arrival
- Seat guests at their table and present them with menus and water
- Provide accurate wait times to guests
- Let servers know of any special requests, birthdays, dietary restrictions, etc posted in the notes of reservations
- Properly manage reservations to keep them organized and well spaced
- Answer the phone/ check voicemails daily
- Clean tables upon guests leaving and reset tables for new reservations
- Help with side tasks (shining cutlery, stocking server/host stations, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and host area
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in hosting is a MUST (1-2 years)
- Friendly attitude
- Experience using yelp reservations and touch bistro is considered an asset
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment
- Familiarity with food safety protocols
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
