What You Will be Doing
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operations and ensuring the establishment runs efficiently. They will be responsible for the operations and business performance of the restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service and health & safety. Additionally, they must effectively manage inventory and supplies, the restaurant team's HR needs, and understand the accounting needs of the business.
Customer service is paramount and making sure guest expectations are not only met, but exceeded.

Due to the nature of this location, work hours may be irregular hours and include early mornings. They must be able to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment, as well as being able to spend much of a shift on your feet.

What You Will be Doing

Additional responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and planning restaurant sale levels and profitability
- Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including labor cost, sales, accounts receivable and inventory
- Interviewing, recruiting, hiring, training, disciplining, terminating, maintenance of employee files, etc.
- Creating and executing plans for staff development, retention, and incentives
- Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts
- Scheduling and managing staff, provide guidance/feedback
- Greet customers, respond to and solve customer complaints
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, health, and safety
- Chairing an occupational health and safety committee of 4-5 people
- Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required
- Ensure bar inventory is completed daily, both opening and closing
- Ensure all opening, mid shift and closing duties are completed
- Conduct monthly meetings with owners

- Previous experience in leadership or management in a related field, such as sales, marketing, finance, or operations considered an asset
- Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team, delegate tasks effectively, and communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to develop and implement business plans that achieve organizational goals
- A solid understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Effective communication, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with employees, stakeholders, and customers
- Ability to identify problems and find effective solutions to improve organizational performance
- Must be adaptable to changing circumstances and able to make quick decisions when necessary
- Ability to work overtime and/or longer shifts when necessary
