Objectives
To ensure the cleanliness of all tableware, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, kitchen appliances and kitchen walls and floors
To complement the services provided by cooks and servers to meet or exceed the expectations of our guests and patrons with respect to food service
Duties and Responsibilities
To wash dishes, glassware, and silverware using commercial dishwashing equipment, chemicals and supplies
To sort dishes, glasses and silverware and return to server stations and/or storage areas
To wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment and/or by hand
To store pots, pans and kitchen utensils in an organized manner
To clean and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment
To sweep and/or mop all floors in the kitchen regularly during each shift
To remove kitchen garbage to the dumpster
To assist cooks in cleaning kitchen appliances
To assist cooks in receiving and storing food products
To assist cooks in basic food preparation (e.g. peeling and cutting vegetables and other things that are assigned)
Other duties as assigned from time to time
Requirements & Expectations
Must be able to communicate easily with other team members (Cooks and servers)
Must be currently enrolled in a cooking program or a graduate of a recognized cooking program
Food Safety program or willing to take the course
Must be capable of heavy lifting
Must be available to work any scheduled and/or call-in shifts, including evenings and weekends
Must follow safety guidelines with respect to kitchen equipment, chemicals and supplies
Must dress and groom according to standards established from time to time.
