In this session, we will take a walk through our resident travel research and discuss how residents’ travel experiences during the Stay Home Year 2020 may help tourism operators prepare for the 2021 season. We will share insights into residents’ travel intentions, interests in activities and experiences and what opportunities exist for operators to build on last year’s resident travel momentum and create offers that provide ‘value for money’. We will also share some ideas about how to address health risks and safety concerns to assure residents that it is safe to travel in the province as we are building back traveller confidence.
