Hospitality NL, is hosting this virtual consultation to update you on the provincial government’s new legislation, Towns and Local Service Districts Act. In this Act the provincial government will allow municipalities to act in a more autonomous manner. This would include the ability of the municipalities to implement a Tourist Accommodations Tax.
Your insights and experiences as an accommodations provider in Newfoundland and Labrador are invaluable, especially considering these recent legislative developments.
In response to this development, Hospitality NL has established an Accommodations Industry Working Group to consult with industry and to guide in the development of policy position recommendations to the Board of Directors of Hospitality NL.
