We are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician. Reporting to the Supervisor, Mobile Equipment Maintenance this position will perform a variety of mechanical duties including fleet repairs, preventative maintenance and hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma
• Inter-provincial Journey Person Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certificate
• A minimum of five years’ related work experience in a work environment that includes advanced equipment with on-board computer diagnostics
• Must be available for standby and overtime, as required
• Knowledge of safe work practices and regulations
• Physical ability to perform the work required
• Valid Class V driver’s license required
• Experience in Hydraulic and Multi-plex electrical systems preferred /beneficial
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
