The Wilds Resort is Newfoundland and Labrador’s premiere resort. Offering a variety of accommodation choices including a hotel, villas, and cottages in an intimate natural setting make The Wilds Resort an easy choice for any traveler. We are a four-season resort situated near the Avalon Wilderness Reserve, on the Salmonier River. We have hiking trails, a heated pool, dining, and a championship golf course. Our mission is to create memorable experiences for our guests and a great work environment for our colleagues.

We are seeking part-time and full-time cooks and prep cooks to join the culinary team. We host 80+ weddings and conferences in our banquet department, service a cafe and operate the resort restaurant.

You duties may include:

  • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods Present, garnish and arrange final dishes Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes Handle and store ingredients and food Maintain food safety and sanitation standards Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils Accommodate guests’ special requests Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers. Dishwashing pot washing as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:
