Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador is pleased to host an online BELONG Workshop, delivered in collaboration with Tourism HR Canada. This interactive session will explore how tourism and hospitality businesses can create more inclusive and accessible workplaces where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
The BELONG initiative is a national project designed to help tourism employers strengthen their ability to build workplaces that are inclusive, diverse, equitable, accessible, and leading (IDEAL). Through training, research, and industry engagement, the program helps businesses better understand the benefits of hiring, retaining, and supporting employees with disabilities and creating environments where all team members feel valued and supported.
During this workshop, participants will learn about practical strategies for fostering inclusive workplace cultures, improving accessibility, and expanding recruitment opportunities by tapping into diverse talent pools. The session will also highlight how inclusive practices can strengthen teams, improve retention, and enhance the overall visitor experience.
This session is designed for tourism operators, managers, and HR professionals across the sector who want to build stronger teams and future-ready workplaces.
