The Exceptional Experiences Program is a provincial designation that recognizes tourism experiences in Newfoundland and Labrador that are intentionally crafted, deeply rooted in place, and delivered with care at every stage of the guest journey. It celebrates experiences that go beyond readiness to create meaningful connections to people, culture, and place, the kinds of moments guests remember long after they leave. This designation is earned and reflects a shared standard of excellence grounded in trust, authenticity, and consistency.
The program is open to TAP-approved tourism operators who have been offering their experience for at least one year and who demonstrate strong experience design, thoughtful delivery, and a clear commitment to guest experience, safety, and professionalism. Exceptional Experiences can take many forms, from activities and attractions to accommodations, restaurants, and guided experiences, and span the full visitor journey. Tools and supports are available to help operators assess readiness and complete the application process.
To support industry understanding of the program, this live Launch Information Session, will provide an overview of the designation, walk through the application and evaluation process, outline timelines and supports, and include time for questions. Operators considering applying are encouraged to attend.
