Climate change is impacting Newfoundland and Labrador's land, ocean, and related ecosystems. Tourism businesses that heavily rely on these ecosystems won't be able to operate in the same way over the coming years due to changes in the operating conditions of these ecosystems.
 
Hence, Hospitality NL, the provincial and federal governments have recognized that in order to ensure that the industry remains sustainable in the long term, tourism businesses and organizations must be able to identify risks to their business in order to effectively plan for adaptation.
 
In research, recently completed the partners have identified the potential impacts on the province's winter tourism businesses/areas with relation to:
● Temperature
● Precipitation
● Coastal and Oceanographic
● Wind and Storms
● Terrestrial Environment
