Position: Interpreter/Translator Trainee

Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen translation skills through translating and proofreading documents with the aid of the Interpreter/Translators & Interpreter Translator Coordinator;
- Attend Nunatsiavut Government Assembly to gain experience in Interpreting
- Attend workshops delivered by department, such as Terminology Workshop
- Training & in servicing as required
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Intermediate to fluent level of Inuttitut speaking, reading and writing
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills in Microsoft programs
- High school diploma
