Rentals & Events Coordinator
The St. John’s Farmers’ Market is looking for a Rentals & Events Coordinator to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of existing and new external events and rentals at the SJFM.
Typical duties will include:
- Act as the lead on external rentals and events at the SJFM
- Be the main point of contact for rental and event inquiries
- Work with prospective rentals to provide guidance on planning and logistics
- Develop and prepare rental and event contracts
- Provide day-of event supervision and on-site coverage
- Seek out new rentals and opportunities for the SJFM with external businesses/organizations
- Manage the planning and organization of add-on activities for our markets
- Work as a team, collaborating with other core staff on the overall operations of the SJFM organization.

Who We Are Looking For:
- Someone with experience planning and implementing events and activities, large and small, with meticulous attention to detail
- A self-starter that is outgoing, great with people, able to manage their own schedule, and has experience leading and supervise others
- An excellent communicator, who is computer-literate and very comfortable with Google Docs, Word and Excel
- Experience working with contracts would be a definite bonus
- Able to work in a fast-paced, crowed, and noisy environment
- Capable of physical work such as moving tables and setting up spaces for events
- The position will require some evening and weekend work.
About the Position:
- Wages will be $22.00 per hour for a 35 hour work-week
- Schedule for the week will change based on the events happening each week. While there is some flexibility, it is expected that hours will include both weekdays, some weekends, and some evenings. It will be important to have flexibility to be able to be on-site during larger events.
- The SJFM has a "bring-your-own-tech" policy. Staff will be required to bring and use their own equipment (laptop/phone/etc). We will provide a monthly stipend of $60 to compensate for this.
