Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Gate Attendant / Pass Checker to join our team at Marble Mountain Resort. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that only guests with valid lift passes are allowed to access the resort's ski areas. You’ll play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while maintaining the safety and security of our resort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the validity of lift passes and ski tickets for all guests entering the resort.
- Greet and assist guests with a positive and welcoming attitude.
- Maintain a professional demeanour while interacting with guests.
- Monitor ski gate areas for safety, ensuring there are no unauthorized access or violations.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members, including security, guest services, and operations.
- Assist with other duties as needed.
- Report any incidents or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or management team.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive in outdoor environments, even in cold or snowy conditions.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus (preferably in a ski resort or outdoor environment).
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
- Skiing/snowboarding experience is a plus, but not required.
