Quidi Vidi Brewery (QVB), Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest craft brewery, is seeking an exceptional Events and Sponsorship Coordinator to join our growing team!

About the Role

As the Events and Sponsorship Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind a wide range of events that not only showcase our brand, but also bring people together in unique and memorable ways. You'll have the opportunity to showcase our craft beer and our brand while creating memorable experiences for our local community.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute a wide variety of events including key annual events and frequent smaller events through the year.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, vendors, industry partners, and internal team members.
  • Manage on-site event operations, including setup, guest experience, and technical support.
  • Have your finger on the pulse of the local community, and the events space, and bring forward ideas for events and sponsorship opportunities that will engage and excite our target audiences.
  • Seek out sponsorship opportunities throughout the community, particularly within our key target markets.
  • Assist with project planning and development, including setting goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with local vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure top-quality event execution.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including alcohol service permits and event licenses.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Social Media Specialist to promote events and enhance our brewery's online presence.
  • Analyze event success and make recommendations for continuous improvements based on collected data and feedback.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in events management, preferably in either the craft beer, food and beverage, or hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of successful community partnership development.
  • Passion for the craft brewing industry and a genuine interest in our products and company culture.
  • Ability to engage and educate our audiences on craft brewing.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 16kg.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as required.

This position reports directly to our Marketing Manager and also works closely with our Social Media Specialist, Taproom Manager, and Production and Sales teams.

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
