Cliffs Edge Retreat is a year-round wellness and nature retreat that offers deeply immersive guest experiences. At the center of the retreat is The Forager, a restaurant led by renowned Chef Jeremy Shaw, and rooted in the Sea, Forest, and Farm to Table philosophy. The Forager celebrates the land and culture of Newfoundland and Labrador through food that is wild, foraged, seasonal, and soulful.
We are currently hiring both Chefs and Assistant Chefs.
Key Responsibilities (varying by role):
- Prepare and present exceptional meals using fresh, wild, and locally sourced ingredients
- Participate in foraging tours and educate guests about local edible plants and traditions
- Collaborate on menu design that changes with the seasons
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Deliver unique culinary experiences that reflect the beauty and culture of the land
Qualifications:
- Passion for food, nature, and authentic culinary expression
- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Creativity, reliability, and a willingness to learn and evolve
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excitement to contribute to a mission-driven and growing organization
