The Cat Stop Waterfront Pub is  seeking an experienced and venturesome culinary team - Executive Chef and line cooks for its restaurant and pub from May to September.
 
About the Cat Stop Waterfront Pub:
The Cat Stop Waterfront Pub is part of the BonTours family and is the newest and coolest
restaurant and pub located below the Tablelands on the seaside in the picturesque community
of Norris Point.  Open from 11am to 9pm daily, the newly renovated and expanded property boasts a new modern kitchen, seating for 100 inside and 150 on the deck, a full family style menu, and entertainment by talented local musicians.  Located at dockside alongside BonTours catamaran, the Emm-Cat, and its water shuttle to Woody Point, the Cat Stop is a focal point on the Norris Point waterfront.  Visitors enjoy all BonTours experiences including its boat tours at Western Brook Pond in Gros Morne National Park. The Ideal Candidate for Executive Chef:
You are an experienced restaurant industry professional with 5+ years experience, most
recently in a senior Chef position.
You have the drive and discipline to manage and inspire a kitchen of 4 team members,
and to work along side a dining room team of 10 individuals.
You are a leader who can motivate your team to greatness and personal accountability
You are committed to every aspect of the customer’s dining experience, including
presentation and consistency.
Your skill set is eclectic, and you can work with any number of menus and ingredients.
You add value by maximizing the financial performance of all areas under your
responsibility.
Every day, your goal is happy people working in a clean kitchen preparing amazing food.
 
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years of kitchen management experience.
Red Seal certification while not essential, would be an asset.
Strong knowledge of back of house operations, including inventory and budgets.
Follow sanitation procedures, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Strong understanding of cost and labour systems.
Ability to work under pressure and react quickly.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Strong work ethic to go along with a stable work history.
Line Cooks – seasoned and new graduates welcome.
