Line Cook Job Description
Glendenning Golf is looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Requirements:
Line cook experience is required
- Line cook experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work at a fast pace while still maintaining accuracy and precision
- Ability to follow instructions
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Positive attitude
- Able to stand for 8-10 hours at a time
- Lifting is required
- This position is open to candidates from St. John's, NL or surrounding areas.
- Breakfast menu experience
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing meat, or sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately (e.g. with supplies)
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards'

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
