Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of desserts.
  • Assist in food preparation for daily service, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
  • Cook and assemble menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Handle food safely during preparation, storage, and service to ensure compliance with health standards.
  • Support the team with food handling, portioning, and plating to optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours.
  • Contribute ideas for new menu items or improvements based on industry trends and customer feedback.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably as a pastry chef or line cook.
  • Skilled in cake decorating, baking, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including packaging and presentation of food items.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in food industry standards is highly desirable.
