Taproom Manager

Landwash Brewery was founded in 2018 in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador. We brew flavour-forward beers inspired by modern American craft beer and serve it in our beer-hall style taproom where you can also grab some food from Johnny and Mae's. We can be found in NLC, Maries Mini Mart, and other C-Store locations, as well as bar and restaurant partners across the province!

The Job:

Landwash is looking for an enthusiastic, beer loving, and experienced Taproom Manager. This is a full-time, year round role. The successful candidate would lead and work with the management team on all hospitality related events involving Landwash Brewery.

Responsibilities:

• Developing the staff schedule
• Fostering a positive, fun, and safe environment for hospitality team
• Maintaining inventory of taproom requirements
• Training new and existing staff in proper and safe techniques for service, opening and closing, and cleaning
• Participate in all hiring of new hospitality team members
• Scheduling and communicating with various requests for events in the taproom and overseeing successful fulfillment of such events
• Creation and follow through of events for the taproom
• General retail sales and bartending duties during scheduled shifts
• Work with the management team in staffing and supplying beer events and festivals

Who are you

• Love and knowledge of craft beer, especially Newfoundland and Labrador craft beer
• Happy working with a team and comfortable working without supervision
• Able to take direction to work safely
• 19+ years old
• Experience working in a bar or restaurant setting, ideally with experience managing a team within
• Experience coordinating events
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver kegs
• Cicerone or other beer training considered a strong asset
