Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Hotel Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained environment for our guests. As a Porter, you will be responsible for various tasks that enhance the overall guest experience, contributing to the high standards of hospitality we uphold.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries or requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in public areas, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with luggage handling and transport for guests as needed.
- Knowledge of general maintenance ie. plumbing and painting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest services.
- Provide information about local attractions, amenities, and hotel services to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Required to have a class 5 drivers license
- Assist Housekeeping staff with room cleaning and laundry
- Outdoor maintenance of grass mowing and snow removal
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with general maintenance in a hotel setting is a plus.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to diverse guests.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
