Night Porter
Founded in 1970, Steele Hotels is an independent hotel operator based out of Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. With origins in Gander, NL the company has grown to include 8 properties located in St. John's, NL, Corner Brook, NL, and Fredericton, NB.
Steele Hotels is looking for a Night Porter to join our growing team at The Glynmill Inn in Corner Brook, NL. The ideal candidate would possess a positive "can-do" attitude, and a high level of professionalism, coupled with a strong work ethic and critical thinking skills.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning floors, windows, and restrooms
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and materials
Snow clearing
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
Set-up, install, reconfigure, relocate and dismantle temporary partitions and furnishings of meeting rooms
Snow clearing for all hotel access points
Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role is considered an asset
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
A clear Criminal Record Screening Certificate
Shift Time – A rotating 12 hour shift schedule from 8:00pm – 8:00am

Pay: $18.50-$19.00 per hour
