Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server at Bella's Restaurant in the Quality Hotel Clarenville, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that each dining experience is memorable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's point-of-sale system.
- Must be available for early mornings and split shifts as requested.
- Must have full time availability to work any day of the week.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and sanitation standards are met.
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring all payments are processed correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and utensils as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns regarding their meals.
- Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations based on their preferences.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, willingness to help others, and a passion for providing excellent service are essential qualities for this role.
