Full job description
- Greet and welcome all visitors to the Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Centre and provide information pertaining to amenities in the area.
- To obtain a good understanding of the history of Grand Falls-Windsor and impart that knowledge to any visitors while providing interpretive tours and responding to other requests for information via social media and telephone contact.
- To have a basic understanding of the collection of materials housed at the Centre and to provide assistance and information to visitor inquiries.
- To learn to use museum database software, Past Perfect, and to be able to respond to requests for historical photos and other materials using this software application.
- To assist with cataloging, inputting data, organizing and maintaining displays and information, and performing preventative conservation as required at the Heritage Centre.
- To assist with property maintenance as required.

Must be entering or returning to post-secondary training in the upcoming academic year or must he currently enrolled in high school - level I, ll or lll or moving from the intermediate level (Gr. 9) to Level I. Must meet all other program criteria.
Position is dependent on funding approval from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's Provincial Summer Employment Program for Students.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
