Job Type: Contract – 11 Weeks (with possible extension)

About the Program
The Accelerated Curriculum Enhancement (ACE) Program is an exciting 11-week bridging initiative designed to help learners strengthen foundational skills in English, Mathematics, Science, and Digital Literacy. Our goal is to build students’ academic confidence, prepare them for post-secondary success, and develop transferable skills that carry into their careers and daily lives.
We’re looking for one full-time instructor or two part-time instructors to join our team and deliver this dynamic program. If you’re passionate about teaching, committed to supporting diverse learners, and eager to create an engaging learning experience, this role could be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Do
As an ACE Program Instructor, you’ll play a key role in shaping students’ academic journeys and future opportunities. You will:
- Deliver engaging online instruction in one or more subject areas (English, Math, Science, Digital Literacy).
- Facilitate interdisciplinary projects, soft skills workshops, and peer mentorship activities.
- Provide timely feedback, academic advising, and student mentorship.
- Organize and host weekly lunch & learn sessions with guest speakers.
- Support the planning and execution of a mid-program career fair connecting students with professionals and pathways.
- Participate in optional on-campus support sessions at our St. John’s campus.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and assessments.
- Contribute ideas to strengthen curriculum delivery and enhance student success.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in education (Secondary or Post-Secondary) or in a relevant subject area (English, Math, or Science).
- Teaching certification or equivalent experience in secondary or adult education.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Experience using online learning platforms and digital instructional tools.
- A passion for supporting diverse learners and helping them transition into post-secondary.
- Experience with innovative teaching strategies (interactive modules, virtual labs, digital portfolios) is an asset.
- Familiarity with transitional or bridging programs is an asset.
