Job Title: Clinical Instructor – Nursing (Student Supervision)
Start date: October 20, 2025.
Job Summary:
Keyin College is currently seeking Clinical Instructors to support immediate clinical placements for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs).
These roles are essential in helping students build nursing competencies through clinical instruction, guidance, and mentorship. Clinical Instructors ensure that placement experiences align with program outcomes and professional nursing standards, while fostering a safe, supportive, and educational clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Instruction:
- Supervise and mentor IENs during clinical placements.
- Provide instruction, demonstrations, and support to aid in the development of core nursing skills and clinical judgment.
- Facilitate engagement in safe, ethical, and culturally competent nursing practice.
- Observe and assess performance, offering timely feedback and coaching.
Clinical Coordination:
- Coordinate daily schedules, patient assignments, and learning opportunities in collaboration with clinical site staff and faculty.
- Serve as a liaison between the educational institution, clinical site, and the IEN.
- Ensure program expectations, course objectives, and clinical competencies are met.
Assessment & Documentation:
- Monitor progress, competencies, and professionalism throughout the clinical experience.
- Complete informal evaluations.
- Report concerns or performance issues to academic faculty and contribute to remediation planning if needed.
Administrative & Compliance:
- Maintain a safe learning environment that adheres to all infection control, privacy, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the provincial regulatory body.
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience, with prior experience in clinical supervision or clinical education preferred.
- Strong assessment and clinical skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentorship skills.
