Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.
- Sort and stack clean dishes in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, counters, and sinks.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help with the disposal of waste and recycling as required.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Ability to work in hot environments.
- A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from RCMP or local police authority.
