Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen.
Physical Demands
- Standing for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying heavy items such as pots, pans, food supplies, etc.
- Repetitive motion.
- Bending and Stooping.
- Working in hot environments near grills, ovens and fryers.
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment, including knives and other sharp instruments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques.
- A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from RCMP or local police authority.

Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
