The Gift Shop Clerk provides customer service to gift shop customers, processes payments for products, stocks shelves and maintains store cleanliness.
| KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Maintains high customer service standard and provides strong customer service to customers
- Responds to customer inquiries about products
- Processes payments of goods using electronic point-of-sale equipment
- Follows merchandise display design plan in displaying products within the gift shop and on the shelves
- Maintains gift shop cleanliness and security
- Reviews merchandise received against purchase orders to ensure accuracy of merchandise and quantity received
- Logs products sold to assist with inventory tracking
- Other duties as assigned
- Some high school education
- Up to 1 year of retail store or customer service work experience, preferred
- Strong customer service orientation along with good customer service skills
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Pleasant, courteous, professional attitude
- Experience within a retail store, an asset
