ABOUT YOU
You are an organized and enthusiastic person who has a passion for guest services and
meeting visitor’s needs. Must have experience hiking 12-20km and working long days in
challenging environments. Having good communication and people person skills would be an
asset. Knowledge about various ecosystems, geology and culture as well as maintenance of
vehicles and property would be necessary.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
∙ Lead hiking tours on various trails in Gros Morne National Park
. Drive guests in company vehicles to trail heads and on cultural experiences
∙ Deliver cultural tours to the various communities surrounding Gros Morne.
∙ Provide interpretation about the culture, geology and various ecosystems in the area.
∙ Transfer guests in company transport as needed.
∙ Maintain company equipment and manage first aid supplies for Tour Gros Morne.
∙ Help create learning tools for training future staff.
∙ Other duties as needed and mutually agreed upon.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
∙ Starting at 40 hours/ week at $18/ hour CAD with option for flexible work weeks ∙
Vacation pay included (based on full time employment).
∙ Contract position from May - October (we help you find housing but the guide is
responsible for paying rent. Typically $500-$600/month)
. Must have a full (ie G) valid drivers licence.
